Rich Stevens of Central Square, NY's Deer Hunting Trip
with Backtrail Adventures
Dan and Jim,
My nephew and I would like to thank NYOC and Gary Cooper for making this deer
hunting trip in the Adirondak Mountains of NY a very special one.
Although we did not bag our buck, we saw several does and could not identify
several others as we got the whitetail bye bye and could not see the heads
because it happens so fast.
Guide Gary Cooper (the Goat) moved through the mountains quickly and silently
and pushed some deer to us but no shots we're fired. The Bears and Bucks were
hanging low.
The scenery was simply gorgeous and a winter cold spell moved in one night and we
woke up to 18 degrees one morning before dawn. Gary was an excellent cook as well
serving hearty breakfasts, pork chops and venison stew for dinners.
We're looking forward to hooking up with Gary again in the future as his knowledge of
hunting and fishing as we learned is incredible. We recommend Gary to anyone who
wants to experience the Adirondak Mountain wilderness!
