Outfitters to get the trip details. Greg offered me archery or muzzleloader
hunt. I chose to go on the muzzleloader hunt in Lynch Nebraska .My friend
David also decided to book a hunt along with me. The drive from Syracuse
was about 1300 miles to the Northstar Lodge. The lodge was a very
comfortable older farm house. After arriving we met our guides Greg and
After winning the trip I contacted Greg Fine the owner of Northstar Trophy
John we hung out and discussed our opening morning hunt. They told us of
several bucks that had been spotted in our stand areas and that we would
be up for breakfast at 4:30 am and then they would get us to our stands. On
the first morning hunt I saw over 35 deer 7 which were bucks one was a
nice 130 class buck. I decided to pass up a shot at that buck in hopes of
taking one of the two larger bucks that Greg told me had been feeding near
my stand. The weather was very favorable ranging from a low of about 5
degrees to a high of 40 degrees. I saw two very large bucks during my
week, but unfortunately they were both out of muzzleloader range. On the
third day of our hunt David shot his first buck a nice 2 1/2 year old 8 pointer
after missing a bigger one. After hopes of one of the two big bucks i saw I
was able to take a very nice 230 lb 3 1/2 year old 7 pointer on my last day of
the hunt. I would recommend this outfitter to any one . I saw over 100 deer
during the week very exciting hunting. Looking forward to hunting with
Greg again. I forgot to mention the home cooked meals and lots of them.
Thank USOC for the great trip.
