Fred Martin Winning Trip with Karl's
Guide Service of Fairhaven, NY
the Oswego County Federation of Sportsman's Clubs, met Karl Cook
On Tuesday, May 13,2008, myself and Roy Abbott, Vice President of at
Fairhaven State park to go on a pike fishing trip, that I had won from
NYOC. As the owner and operator of a bait farm, this was going to be
a little bit different from my normal and usual way of fishing. This was
going to be using artificial lures only. Karl was waiting for us earlier
than the 7:00AM starting time. We got the boat launched and started
to fish immediately
We immediately started to catch pike. The largest one was about ten
pounds. All fish were released back into the bay. It was a beautiful
sunny day, and everyone had a wonderful time. This trip brought
back to me memories of a fishing trip to Northern Quebec, some 52
years ago. We had just as much fun here locally and caught as many
fish as the Quebec trip years ago It just goes to show, you don't
know whats in your own backyard, until you have tried it. All in all, it
was a very fine and enjoyable trip. We made a new friend. It was a
very memorable experience, and we can't say enough to recommend
Karl's Guide Service.
