Hello Jim And Dan,

I would like to thank all the folk's at USOC for the opportunity to be a
member and have a chanced to win trip's every week of the year. I will be
sure to re-join again in 09.
The trip was won by my dad and health concerns proved to much for him
to make the trip.  Fishlander Charter's is the outfit we won the trip with and
we had a ball. Capt. Kev(Kevin Gath) is  very knowledgeable and
seasoned Charter Captain. It really brought back some great memories
being on Lake Ontario.
Our trip started at around 3:30am on Saturday August 15th. We left
Oswego NY on route to Hilton NY(which is west of Rochester NY) Joining
me(SkipKnight), was my brother Kurt Knight and a friend Dave Swan. Our
GPS  unit took us right to the dock of Capt. Kev, who was waiting there,
boat running for us to board. We made the short cruise up the Sandy
Creek to Lake Ontario to begin our 6 hour charter.
I took the wheel and headed us due north, As Kevin methodically rigged
all the downrigger's and poles. The lake was dead calm and we were
hoping for a little wind to help out our excursion It wasn't long before we
had a few releases.
Kurt had the privilege of grabbing the pole on our first hook-up. It was
awesome watching my bro battle the first fish of the day , that turned out to
be an 11 lbs.Steelhead. Dave was next and he hooked up to be what was
a hell of a fish, to which all were disappointed when the big salmon
snapped the line as he made a mad feverish run at the boat. The look on
his face told the whole story, his face and brow soaked with sweat , his
expression was one of bewilderment , excitement and disappointment.
We had a lot of action for about 2 hours And as fast as it started it all
came to a crawl. Kevin worked hard changing things up and going out
deep(about 5 miles) we caught 4 more small steelhead to which we let
them go as they were too small. I would like to thank Kevin Gath once
again for all of his hospitality as well as good  conversation we had on
our trip.  Anyone wanting to go on a great trip , a fun day and just a darn
good time  give Kevin@fishlandercharters.com a call, I promise you won't
be sorry. He's good people.
Well I would like to thank Jim Hanlon & Dan Leonard at USOC  for the
chance to win this trip, without them and the folks at USOC we the
winner's and the people out here enjoying the great outdoors would not
have these trips and merchandise we enjoy winning. I don't think you
could join a better group of people, who's only interest is to promote
hunting and fishing and the outdoors. It's an awesome deal.  You can't
win if you don't join. Good Luck Guy's and thanks again for pulling my
dad's name in your weekly drawing. And remember if you can't be out
enjoying the outdoors------QUIT  YOUR  JOB!!!!!!
                                                                      THANK'S,
SKIP KNIGHT

Please note- Skip's camera did the unthinkable on a
fishing trip. It broke and these are the only pictures he
could salvage from his trip, so we went into Kevin's
web-site and took a few of his pictures to add to this story.
